I turned over to Channel 4 after watching Soapstar Superstar, only to find that Jade and her family were entering the Big Brother house. This is the first time I have had chance to watch Big Brother and I now wish that I had seen it from the beginning. They seem to come up with more evil and conniving things to do to the housemates each series. I can't wait to see how it all pans out when the 8 housemates in the servants quarters have to start working for Jade and her family.
Jade was quite adamant that she didn't want people waiting on her but I have a feeling that she may begin to enjoy it.
Now I'm off to watch my video of Just The Two Of Us from last night before the shows start again tonight.

Another reality show
Last night, there were three reality shows on, all at the same time. I watched the whole of Soapstar Superstar, the second part of Big Brother and recorded Just the Two of Us. 11 people sang on Soapstar Superstar and I don't think there was really one that stood out for me. The contestants are
- Hayley aka Del from Emmerdale
- Anthony aka Sean from Corrie
- Verity aka Donna from Emmerdale
- Alan aka Karl from Neighbours
- Gemma aka Lisa from Hollyoaks
- Elaine aka Lyn from Eastenders
- Leon aka Tanktop from Hollyoaks
- Mark aka Rik from Home & Away
- Tupele aka Kelly from Corrie
- Jane aka Leanne from Corrie
- Matthew aka David from Emmerdale
One celebrity has been kicked off already. Elaine went last night, leaving Tupele and Jane to wait until tonight to see if they get a second chance. Personally, I think that Tupele was much better.
The judges for this show are Martine, Billy, Chris and Michael. I found that Michael, Chris and Martine were all very fair and if they had any criticism it was always very constructive. However, I find that Billy is very rude and tends to do a lot of name dropping and insulting rather than giving an opinion on the singing. Roll on tonight to see what happens.

The dreaded judges
Does anyone else think that the judges on these programmes are complete idiots? The scores they give, very rarely reflect the comments they made. Is Tito Jackson deaf? It seems to me that he likes to go for the underdog. He gives great comments to the couples that can really sing but then never score them above a 5. It then comes to people like John and Jocelyn who sound absolutely terrible and they are given 7's and 8's by him. I think that these programmes would be much better if they had a panel of judges made up of members of the public.
Good Old Brendan
Didn't take Brendan Cole long to throw a tantrum did it? I did feel for him though and even found myself picking up the phone to vote for him. Even though I am obsessed with these programmes I don't normally vote. I think that Brendan just has so much passion for whatever he does that he flares up if anyone puts him down. Fair play for sticking up for himself, I hope he gets through to the final.
Obsessed with Reality TV!
I am very embarassed to say that I think I may be obsessed with reality TV programmes. I used to be the sort of person that wouldn't miss the soaps. I had to get my fix of the Street, the Farm and the Square every night. Now I am glued to any reality programme that I can find.
My only dilemma is when there are two on at the same time on opposite channels. For instance, I started watching Just The Two Of Us on Tuesday and the Celebrity Big Brother started on Wednesday. I find there is no point recording one because with four children it is very near impossible for me to get to watch it. In this instance I have decided to watch Just The Two Of Us until it finishes on Sunday and then I will move on to Big Brother. I'm am hoping that this doesn't then clash with Soapstar Superstar when it starts!!
I also had this problem just before christmas when X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing were on at the same time. I found myself flicking between channels to keep up with what was happening on both. Maybe I should get the hubby to invest in another tv in the living room!

Why is John still in?
Why are John and Jocelyn still in this competition? Okay he is a great entertainer but he can't sing a note. I really think that Luke and Natasha would have had a lot more to give if they had been saved by the great British public. I don't know how Julia and Tony are still in either. Am I the only one that thinks she sounds like a man?
